由山西影视集团、山西电影制片厂联合摄制的国内第一部以农村信用社为题材的电影 《山区小社》在昔阳县举行开机仪式。该影片以花果湾村老叶书记一心要让贫穷的乡亲们富裕起来为主线，以农村信用社作为立足农村、扶持农村、农业和农民的金融机构为故事载体，通过一次充满了希望的规模化果树种植行动，形成了不同的产业链，实现了叶书记规划的美好蓝图，使花果湾变成了名副其实的花果湾。
